Good evening Jalopists,

Having some time to kill waiting for my plane to depart from the world's most boring city in the whole galaxy, I decided to find the best car money can buy, and guess what ? I found it. You can thank me later.

A bit of history :

The Nissan Rogue wagon was introduced in North America in 2007 as a 2008 model, it then remain unchanched until 2013. It rides on the celebrated P32 platform and its origins can be traced back to the 1997 Renault Kangoo, which is somewhat related to the Citroen DS. As of 2014, a new bigger an better successor was introduced, but Nissan, in an effort to keep its clientele of enthusiasts, decided to bring back the old model and sold it as new at a bargain price.

Value :

For a mere 21,500 American Pesos, you get a quirky wagon with everything a modern Jalop need. AWD, electric everything, alloy wheels and intermittent wipers are standard. Bluethoot connectivity is also present but it won't do any good for your Palm Treo.

As a bonus, you also get a raised ride height and a shit ton of cargo space when your kids are not with you. Also standard is a transmission with an infinite amount of gears, that's a lot of ratios.

Conclusion :

A better Volvo 240 wagon for less that the original price tag of the swedish wagon, 25 years ago ?

Hell yes.

And one thing you never, ever need, or should accept on any vehicle. A CVT.
